This collection consists of 7 folders of research materials from Jerome A. Peltier that were purchased from Russell Books of Spokane, WA. Washington State Library (WSL) purchased a limited amount from the entire research materials collection because it was broken into smaller lots when sold. Each of the 7 folders contains information on a particular subject relating to the history of the Palouse region of Eastern Washington and Western Idaho from the early settlement of Europeans in the nineteenth century to the first quarter of the twentieth century. The folders arrived in no particular arrangement and the papers in no discernable arrangement beyond the order within each folder, which may or may not reflect the collector's original intention.
